How Much Water Does a Cylindrical Snake Plant Need?

You’ll want to thoroughly water the cylindrical snake plant until water runs through the soil and drains from the bottom holes of the pot. You can also consider investing in a clay pot, or a pot that has several openings along the outside of the pot as well. It can be both attractive and help the soil remain dry.

Pay attention to the soil in the pot and monitor its moisture levels by sticking your finger in the soil regularly, around once a week. If you notice the soil has dried out, you can water the plant thoroughly. If the soil still has any moisture, leave it until the soil dries out.

Note that you can typically scale way back on the watering schedule during winter. For more information on watering plants, check out my other article for signs, tips, and tricks to avoid watering mistakes.
