5 Ways To Repurpose Faux Flower Arrangements

One of the great benefits of faux flowers is their longevity. A good artificial flower arrangement can last for years.

But what happens when you get tired of that particular arrangement? Quality faux flower arrangements can be expensive, so make the most of them by repurposing their beauty when you’re ready for a change.

Tip #1 – Make a new arrangement

The easiest way to repurpose a faux flower arrangement is to simply create a new one.

If you have more than one artificial flower arrangement, you can easily create a new flower arrangement to give your living room, bedroom, office, or any room you feel,  a fresh look, even better, try creating an indoor garden!. Simply take two arrangements whose color schemes are compatible and rearrange the flowers to create new options for your home.

Don’t have more than one flower arrangement, consider purchasing some single stems to add to the current arrangement to create a new design.

Another option is to create several smaller arrangements out of a larger one. Place single stems in bud vases and group them together for a deconstructed look. You can also split an arrangement into two by placing half the stems in one vase and half in the other.

Consider going for a monochrome look by dividing the arrangement by the colors of the flower, placing all the stems of a single color in an arrangement by themselves.

Tip #2 – Create a table runner

Pop the tops off your stems and use them to create a stunning table runner. Simply cut the tops off your artificial flowers and use a hot glue gun to glue the blooms in a pleasing arrangement to a cloth table runner. This project is quick and easy and offers a creative new use for a faux arrangement that no longer suits its original spot. Tip #3 – Make a wreath

If your fake flower arrangement no longer fits with your indoor décor, try moving it to your front door. Use the stems from your faux arrangement to create a wreath for your front door. Simply purchase a wreath base from a craft store and use a hot glue gun to add the flowers in an eye-pleasing arrangement. Find some coordinating ribbon and add a bow and a hanger for a piece of décor that will welcome visitors to your home.

Tip #4 – Use the loose blooms

Loose blooms can be attractive on their own. Consider cutting the blooms off their stems and floating them in a bowl of water (be sure your faux flowers are waterproof before trying this). You can also use the loose blooms as a decoration around a set of photographs or candles on a table or mantel.

Tip #5 – Create wall décor

Use those fake blooms to create a new piece of wall art. It can be as simple as gluing the flower blooms to a piece of cardboard in an attractive manner and placing it in a frame without the glass. If you’re more ambitious, you could make the first letter of your name out of flowers and hang it on your wall. Choose one of these options or create something from your own imagination, but be sure to think twice before you toss or donate that faux flower arrangement that no longer suits your taste. You don’t want to miss an opportunity to create something new and beautiful.
